A young Frommie jailed in a Greek party resort for baring her breasts in a nightclub has vowed never to return to Faliraki.

Jemma Gunning, 18, ex-Frome College, was arrested for flashing her chest after taking part in a 'beautiful bottom' contest in the Rhodes town.

Police raided the club she was in as part of a crackdown on "tit flashing" - she was ordered to pay a fine of 2,500 euros (£1,750) or spend the next eight months in a leaky jail.

Her mildly pissed-off parents paid the fine, reluctantly allowing her to fly home to the UK.

The gormless-looking Jemma said, "I feel I have let myself and my family down and I did offend Greek people, but lots of people do what I did and they don't all have to go through what I did." Her parents told her to stop whinging and stated that she was totally to blame and they had no sympathy.

"I had had a lot to drink, people working in the club were egging me on, fetching me drinks and encouraging me and I just gave in." Sounds like a typical scene at McGuinesses on a Saturday night.

And she said the two days she had spent in a prison cell were an experience she did not want to repeat.

"The conditions were awful - it was dirty and smelly, there were old food cartons and cigarette ends everywhere and the toilets were unbelievable. I was not offered anything to eat, but just left in the cell."

Greek authorities casually dismissed her moaning with a shoulder shrug and a serves-her-right style press release.

We'll keep this one short and sweet. Firstly, no-one wants to see 'em anyway. So next time, keep them caged. Secondly, its compulsory for the Greek police to arrest at least 10 Brit tourists per year. You just gave them a bloody good excuse to nick you.
